Description: “In winter’s chill, Or summer’s heat, A farmer works, So the world can eat”. Our school’s Kindergarten section celebrated “Farmers’ Day on the 18th of September 2024 to connect our budding citizens of tomorrow to the toiling food providers of the world. On this occasion, our teachers played a vital role in organising various activities so that our children can understand the hardships of a farmer and the process of cultivating and harvesting goods for us. Our Nursery Class Teachers took the initiative of bringing soaked seeds and the children were asked to bring mud in small plastic containers to explain germination. L.K.G. Class Teachers dressed up as farmers, fruit sellers etc and conducted a very fruitful interactive session on why we celebrate “Farmers’ Day” and its importance. Our UKG Class Teachers conducted a Group Activity where each student pasted a relevant picture and spoke two lines about it. The day was very successful as the children understood through these simple yet interesting activities that in this world of burgeoning professions, farmers play a pivotal role in sustaining the Nation’s food security by growing crops and raising animals for meat and Dairy products.
