Description:
“The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell us how to think but to give us questions to think upon”.
The day, 27th of June 2024 will always remain in our students ‘ hearts and will bring sunshine on their faces throughout their lives. Today was the day dedicated to their most favourite activity – Stories because a story stays with the children much longer than the facts or statistics as it is not a seemingly endless download of information but a never ending journey of learning and understanding of the world around us.
We were honoured to have Shefali Ma’am, the Supervisor of St. Karen’s Group Of Schools among us as a Guest Storyteller for our Kindergarten students. Our teachers Ms. Neetu Verma, Ms. Anjana Sahay and Ms. Sharon also conducted the story telling sessions which helped in breaking the monotony of classrooms. The sessions were highly interactive besides being interesting and joyful. Our Story Tellers today narrated the stories in their unique styles and asked the students to deduce the moral and values gained from them. The moral of all the stories were based on forgiveness, gratitude, kindness, inner beauty, satisfaction and confidence.
Simultaneously the students of Kindergarten section of our school were also enjoying by drawing their favourite story character. Each stroke of the brush, every colour combination of crayons told and untold story of their own world.
The day thus came to an end with great satisfaction.
